About

Purpendicular is a Deep Purple tribute band founded in 2007 by Irish vocalist Robby Thomas Walsh, notable for having Deep Purple co-founder and drummer Ian Paice as a permanent member. Starting out as one of Europe's most respected Purple tribute acts, the band has since released four studio albums of original material, with contributions over the years from Roger Glover, Don Airey and Steve Morse. Their fourth album, Banned, came out in October 2025 via Metalville.
