concertRobyn Hitchcock
Legendary psychedelic rock musician Robyn Hitchcock takes the stage at Debaser Strand with half a century of experimental pop and surrealist music.
Robyn Hitchcock (born 1953, London) is an English singer-songwriter and guitarist who first came to wider attention fronting the Soft Boys, the Cambridge art-punk band whose 1980 album Underwater Moonlight became a lasting touchstone for alternative rock. His solo career, now spanning more than four decades and some 25 studio albums, blends psychedelic rock, surrealist imagery and sharp melodic instinct in a style entirely his own. Artists from R.E.M. and Neko Case to Gillian Welch have covered his songs, and he has collaborated with Johnny Marr, Sean Ono Lennon and Peter Buck, among others.
Hitchcock announced his 25th studio album The Confuser, due July 24, 2026 on Tiny Ghost Records, recorded in Nashville in October 2025 with guitarist Jeremy Fetzer, bassist Todd Bolden and drummer Eric Slick.
The first single from The Confuser, 'I Am This Thing', was released alongside a music video in March 2026.
A live album, Live at Acheron, is set for release on July 3, 2026, featuring acoustic recordings made in a Nashville garden studio in 2025.
Hitchcock announced a run of US East Coast dates for autumn 2025, including a special all-Dylan show at Bearsville Theatre in Woodstock on December 27, performing John Wesley Harding in full.
His memoir 1967: How I Got There and Why I Never Left was published in June 2024, accompanied by a covers album 1967: Vacations in the Past.
