Rodrigo y Gabriela are a Mexican acoustic guitar duo - Rodrigo Sánchez and Gabriela Quintero - who built their career busking on Dublin's Grafton Street before their self-titled 2006 debut went straight to #1 on the Irish Albums Chart, the first instrumental album ever to do so. Their music fuses flamenco, heavy metal and Latin rhythms into a purely acoustic format, and their 2020 album Mettavolution won the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album.
