Röyksopp is a Norwegian electronic duo from Tromsø, formed by Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland in 1998. Their 2001 debut Melody A.M. blended ambient textures with downtempo beats and became a critical landmark; over ten studio albums they have moved fluidly between dreamy electronica and club-oriented dance music. Collaborations with Robyn - most notably the Do It Again EP (2014) - brought them wide international recognition, and the sweeping Profound Mysteries trilogy (2022) confirmed their standing as one of Scandinavia's most ambitious electronic acts.
Röyksopp released True Electric on 11 April 2025, a tenth studio album of dance remixes drawn from their True Electric live tour.
The duo announced the True Electric album and a DJ tour spanning Europe, Australia and North America, with dates running from January through June 2025.
Lead single 'What Else Is There? (True Electric)', featuring Fever Ray and Trentemøller, was shared on 22 January 2025.
Röyksopp released the ambient album Nebulous Nights (An Ambient Excursion into Profound Mysteries) on 13 December 2024 via their own label Dog Triumph.
