Ryan Gosling (born November 12, 1980, in London, Ontario) is a Canadian actor, musician and filmmaker whose career spans both independent cinema and major studio productions. He earned Academy Award nominations for Half Nelson (2006), La La Land (2016) and Barbie (2023), and won a Golden Globe for La La Land. Beyond acting, he is a multi-instrumentalist who fronted the band Dead Man's Bones and sang the Grammy- and Oscar-nominated 'I'm Just Ken' from Barbie.
