concert20:00SAGA - The Generations Tour 1977-2027
Canadian progressive rock legends SAGA mark 50 years with a tour across Sweden. Classic hits spanning from 1977 to today.
Saga is a Canadian progressive rock band from Oakville, Ontario, founded in 1977. Built around vocalist Michael Sadler and guitarist Ian Crichton, the band blends melodic hard rock with synth-driven prog arrangements and a recurring sci-fi concept series called the 'Chapters'. With over 22 studio albums and more than ten million records sold worldwide, they built a particularly devoted following in Germany and across Europe.
Vocalist Michael Sadler disclosed in July 2025 that his rare muscle-invasive cancer - surgically removed in late 2024 - has been deemed incurable, though he clarified he is currently stable and not terminal.
Following Sadler's health update, Saga placed all live performances on hold, with the band stating that his health is their top priority.
In April 2026, Saga announced a return to the stage with a select number of shows in Canada, featuring Sadler, Crichton, and Gilmour.
Guitarist Ian Crichton was absent from the band in 2024 due to a foot/leg injury, leading to lineup adjustments for live shows.
Saga's 22nd studio album Symmetry, an acoustic reimagining of classic tracks recorded remotely during the pandemic, reached #11 on the German album chart - their highest position there since Behaviour in 1985.
