She is the highest-grossing lead actor in cinema history, with her films collectively earning over $15 billion worldwide, and has won a Tony Award and a BAFTA, alongside two Oscar nominations. Beyond acting, she released the debut album Anywhere I Lay My Head (2008) - a set of Tom Waits covers produced by Dave Sitek with David Bowie guesting - and the collaborative duet album Break Up (2009) with Pete Yorn. In 2025 she made her feature directorial debut with Eleanor the Great, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
