Lilla spöket Laban is a beloved Swedish children's character created by Inger and Lasse Sandberg - first invented in 1958 and introduced in book form in 1965. The little ghost who is afraid of the dark has since charmed generations of children across Scandinavia through books, animated films and live theatre. The stage show, featuring Laban and his fearless little sister Labolina, mixes music, dance and gentle comedy for the very youngest audiences.
Lilla spöket Laban was announced as part of the summer 2026 programme at Parksnäckan in Uppsala, booked by Kaliber Live for 26 July.
The animated film 'Lilla Spöket Laban spökar igen', directed by Lasse Persson, had its nationwide cinema premiere on 11 October 2024, featuring individual voice actors for each character for the first time.
Teater Bristol launched a new stage production of Lilla spöket Laban, with script and direction by Leif Grönqvist and produced by Johan Asplund.
