Striking Matches is a Nashville duo formed by guitarists and songwriters Sarah Zimmermann and Justin Davis, who met in a guitar seminar at Belmont University in 2007. They broke through when music supervisor Frankie Pine placed nine of their songs on the ABC TV series Nashville, and their debut album Nothing but the Silence (2015) - produced by T-Bone Burnett - hit #1 on UK Country iTunes. Their sound sits at the crossroads of country, blues and Americana, and their songs have also appeared on Grey's Anatomy, American Idol and Monday Night Football.
Striking Matches released new singles in 2025, including 'Six String Baby' and 'Insincerely', continuing their run of independent releases.
The duo toured the US supporting Ashley Monroe in February 2025, with dates in Salt Lake City and West Hollywood.

Striking Matches have UK headline dates announced for March 2026, including shows in London, Manchester and Glasgow.
