Sub Focus is the alias of British producer and DJ Nick Douwma, who has been shaping drum and bass since his debut on RAM Records in 2003. Starting from underground jungle, he broke into the mainstream with the 2013 album Torus - which hit the UK Top 10 with singles like 'Endorphins' - and has since released four solo studio albums, the latest being Contact (2025). His sound pulls freely from house, dubstep and dancehall alongside DnB, and his live 'Circular Sound' production has sold out venues from London's Alexandra Palace to Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
Sub Focus released his fourth solo studio album Contact (via Casablanca/Positiva), featuring 14 tracks with collaborators including Grimes, John Summit and Katy B.
