About

Teddybears (formerly Teddybears STHLM) are a Swedish band formed in Stockholm in 1991 by vocalist Patrik Arve and brothers Joakim and Klas Åhlund. Starting out as a grindcore group called Skull, they gradually shifted toward a genre-blending mix of electronic rock, hip-hop, punk and dancehall - and became known for performing in papier-mâché bear masks. Their 2000 album Rock 'n' Roll Highschool topped the Swedish charts and won four Grammis awards, while the 2006 Soft Machine brought them to the US market via Atlantic Records with guests including Iggy Pop, Neneh Cherry and Mad Cobra.
