The Band Geeks are an American progressive rock collective founded by bassist and producer Richie Castellano - also known as a guitarist in Blue Öyster Cult - originally as a YouTube-based cover band that built a following through meticulous recreations of Yes and other prog classics. Jon Anderson, co-founder and longtime vocalist of Yes, discovered them online and invited them on tour in 2023; the partnership has since produced two studio albums and a live record on Frontiers Music. Their 2024 debut together, True, was widely praised for capturing the spirit of classic Yes while standing on its own as new material.
