About

The Beat from Palookaville is a Stockholm-based ska and R&B band founded in 2007 by guitarist Anders Lewén, previously known from Knock-Out Greg & Blue Weather and the Sven Zetterberg Bluesband. The band blends ska, jump blues, soul and Caribbean rhythms into a high-energy live act fronted by vocalist Tommy 'BigT' Moberg. They have backed artists including Sven Zetterberg, Elin Ruth Sigvardsson, Magnus Carlson and Moneybrother, and released records on Sweden's Enviken Records and Spain's Sleazy Records.
