The Crown is a Swedish death/thrash metal band from Trollhättan, formed in 1990 under the name Crown of Thorns. Known for fusing melodic death metal with old-school aggression and thrash speed, they broke through with the landmark album Deathrace King (2000) and have released twelve studio albums in total. After disbanding in 2004 and reforming in 2009, the band announced in December 2025 that 2026 would be their final year - a farewell tour culminating in a last show in Gothenburg on 19 December.
