About

The Prodigy are an electronic band from Braintree, Essex, founded in 1990 by producer and songwriter Liam Howlett. Fusing rave, breakbeat and industrial rock into a sound entirely their own, they broke into the mainstream with The Fat of the Land (1997) and singles like "Firestarter" and "Breathe". Seven studio albums, six of which hit #1 in the UK, and over 25 million records sold worldwide cement their place as one of the most influential acts in electronic music history. Since the death of frontman Keith Flint in March 2019, Howlett and MC Maxim have continued the band, with Flint's presence remaining a defining part of their identity.
