concert19:30THE VERY BEST OF THIN LIZZY, PHIL LYNOTT AND GARY MOORE
A live rock concert celebrating the music of Thin Lizzy, Phil Lynott and Gary Moore at Växjö Konserthus.
Thin Lizzy are an Irish hard rock band formed in Dublin in 1969, built around bassist, vocalist and principal songwriter Phil Lynott and drummer Brian Downey. The band's signature twin lead guitar sound - pioneered from 1974 with Scott Gorham and Brian Robertson - became hugely influential on heavy metal acts from Iron Maiden to Metallica. After Lynott's death in January 1986, surviving members have continued to tour under the name, keeping a catalogue of twelve studio albums alive for new generations.
Thin Lizzy released an extended version of 'Clifton Grange Hotel' as a preview single ahead of the debut album's 55th anniversary deluxe reissue.
The band's 1971 self-titled debut album was announced for a major 55th anniversary deluxe reissue on 10 July 2026, featuring 15 unreleased recordings, BBC sessions and new stereo mixes.
Guns N' Roses debuted a live cover of Thin Lizzy's 'Thunder and Lightning' at the second show of their 2025 world tour in Yokohama, Japan.
Thin Lizzy released 'The Acoustic Sessions', their first new album in over 40 years, pairing Phil Lynott's original vocals with newly recorded acoustic guitar parts by founding member Eric Bell.
