Danish blues musician Thorbjörn Risager & The Black Tornado take the stage in Karlstad.
Thorbjørn Risager & The Black Tornado is a Danish eight-piece band led by Copenhagen-born singer and guitarist Thorbjørn Risager, who founded the group in 2003. Their sound draws on Chicago blues, Southern soul, boogie and roots rock, and two decades of relentless touring across Europe, North America and Asia have made them one of Scandinavia's most respected live acts. Signed to Provogue/Mascot Label Group, the band has released nine studio albums and earned multiple awards, including the Danish Music Award for Best Blues Album.
The band released their live album 'Live at Hotel Cecil' on June 19, 2026 via Provogue/Artone, capturing a sold-out hometown show recorded on 29 November 2025.
The band released the live single 'Said I Was Hurt', recorded at Hotel Cecil in Copenhagen, ahead of the full live album.
The band announced December 2026 Swedish shows at Pustervik in Gothenburg (11 Dec) and Slagthuset in Malmö (12 Dec).
The band released their ninth studio album 'House of Sticks' in January 2025 on Provogue/Mascot Label Group.
The band played a sold-out concert at Hotel Cecil in Copenhagen on 29 November 2025, closing their 'House of Sticks' winter tour.
