Thundermother
Swedish hard rock band Thundermother performs at Slaktkyrkan in Stockholm.
Thundermother is a Swedish all-female hard rock band founded in Växjö in 2009 by guitarist Filippa Nässil. Rooted in classic 70s-influenced rock, the band built its reputation through relentless touring - supporting Scorpions across Europe and North America and playing Wacken Open Air repeatedly. Their 2020 album Heat Wave broke into the top 10 in both Germany and Sweden, and the 2025 follow-up Dirty & Divine reached the top 2 on the Official German Rock/Metal Charts.
At Wacken Open Air 2026, the band announced their next studio album Mothers Of Thunder, due February 2027, with lead single 'Bimbo Boost' arriving in September 2026.
Live album Live'n'Alive was released digitally on April 17, 2026 via Napalm Records, recorded during the 2025 European headline tour.
Seventh studio album Dirty & Divine was released on February 7, 2025 via AFM Records, marking the recording debut of vocalist Linnéa Vikström Egg and drummer Joan Massing.
Dirty & Divine entered the top 2 on the Official German Rock/Metal Charts.
Thundermother won the Gaffa Prize in the category Best Hard Rock/Metal Band of the Year.
