Veronica Maggio (born 1981 in Uppsala) is a Swedish singer-songwriter of Swedish and Italian descent, widely regarded as one of the most significant pop artists in Sweden over the past two decades. Her debut album Vatten och bröd (2006) earned her the Grammis for Newcomer of the Year, and she has since placed four albums at number one in Sweden, racked up over 26 top-20 singles, and in 2021 became the first artist to surpass 1 billion Spotify streams with an entirely Swedish-language catalogue. Beyond music, she co-wrote and starred in the 2025 film 7 steg, which received eight Guldbagge nominations.
