Ward Hayden & The Outliers are an American band from Boston, Massachusetts, playing a roots-driven blend of old-school country, early rock 'n' roll and blues. Formed in 2005 - originally under the name Girls, Guns & Glory - they have built a devoted following on both sides of the Atlantic through relentless touring and a string of acclaimed records on their own Faster Horses Recordings label. Rolling Stone has called them 'a modern-day Buddy Holly plus Dwight Yoakam divided by the Mavericks,' and the band has collected seven Boston Music Awards alongside the 2025 New England Music Awards Performer of the Year title.
The band headlined the Narrows Center in Fall River, MA on January 30, 2026, showcasing their Springsteen material alongside new originals.
Ward Hayden & The Outliers were named Country Act of the Year and Performer of the Year at the 2025 New England Music Awards.
The band toured Europe and Scandinavia in autumn 2025 in support of their two Springsteen tribute albums.
Piece by Piece, the second of two Bruce Springsteen tribute albums, was released in August 2025.
Little by Little, the first of two Springsteen tribute albums, was released in April 2025 and reached #1 on the Americana chart.
