Yael Ronen is an Israeli-German theatre director, born in Jerusalem. She is known for devising plays collaboratively with her ensemble during the rehearsal process, often digging into social and political tensions. Her international breakthrough came in 2010 with Third Generation, which brought together actors from Germany, Israel and Palestine. She has worked at venues including Maxim Gorki Theater and Schaubühne Berlin.
