NordicBaltic Festival Platform is a collaboration between festivals in the Nordic countries and the Baltics, established in 2013 after work began in 2011. Once a year, the network convenes for a conference, held in rotation among the member countries. Programme and documentation from the conferences are available at nordicbalticfestivals.org.
The initiative came from Svenska Musikfestivaler (now Sweden Festivals), when a group of Nordic and Baltic colleagues agreed to hold a festival conference in Iceland on 5-7 October 2011. The meeting took place alongside the annual Nordic Music Days and the opening of the new concert hall Harpa in Reykjavik, and a grant from the Nordic Culture Fund made the conference possible.
