Miriam Aïda - Loving The Hero

Miriam Aïda and her band perform David Bowie's music with vocals, seven-string classical guitar and two percussionists - an arrangement that gives the songs from 1969 to 2016 their own distinctive voice.

The album Loving the Alien was praised by audiences and critics for its personal, genre-crossing interpretations featuring influences from Afro-Brazilian rhythms, Caribbean pulse, jazz, reggae and Swedish melancholy. The band describes their driving force like this: "It is David Bowie's courage to challenge social norms, to step outside the given boundaries, that inspires us. He encourages us not to compromise ourselves, with a message to dare follow your heart's path and stand for who you are. With this close to our hearts, we have challenged ourselves to make his songs our own."

The band's four members otherwise collaborate with artists from a broad Swedish music scene - including Håkan Hellström, Damn!, Tingsek, Nisse Landgren and Stefan Sundström. The tour continues in 2026 following sold-out concerts in Sweden, the Nordic region, Berlin and Dublin Bowie Festival.
