Kishi Bashi

Kishi Bashi is the stage name of singer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter Kaoru Ishibashi. Born in Seattle and raised in Norfolk, Virginia, he studied film scoring at Berklee College of Music before establishing himself as a violinist. He has toured and performed with artists including Regina Spektor, Sondre Lerche, and of Montreal.

Following his debut album "151a", he was highlighted by NPR's Bob Boilen as one of the most exciting new artists of 2012. His fourth album "Omoiyari" explores themes of history, oppression, love, and loss, and has been praised by The Guardian, The New York Times, and Wall Street Journal.

The performance at Trädgår'n Studio Live is an intimate solo show.
