Cosmic Ear

Cosmic Ear brings together major names in Swedish jazz for a shared project rooted in the music of American jazz trumpeter Don Cherry - whom Christer Bothén played with in the 1960s. The group takes that legacy forward, blending in free jazz from Codona and Frank Lowe, while weaving together Moroccan gnawa, Swedish folk music, and South American rhythms.

The music emerges in the moment, with roots pointing in both directions. As they put it themselves: "Music is NOW! This is NU MUSIC!"
