Swedish Air Force 100 Years — Aeroseum, Gothenburg

At Aeroseum you can board the TP 84 Hercules 841 - an aircraft that served in the Swedish Armed Forces for nearly 50 years until its retirement in 2014. In collaboration with the Air Force Museum, 841 has been preserved for the future and is displayed today in its original form, without wings.

On 6 July, pilots, technicians and loadmasters will be on site - people who themselves worked with the Hercules system. They will share stories about life on board and give tours, from transport missions and international operations to parachute operations and everyday work.

Hercules Day is part of the celebration of the Swedish Air Force's centenary and highlights the role of the transport aircraft in the modern Swedish Air Force, as well as the people behind the missions.

Throughout the jubilee year, Aeroseum invites visitors to exhibitions, guided tours and experiences at its Cold War-era facility - read more on the website.
