Silver Star
Göteborgs Stadsteater, Gothenburg
By Kristina Lugn
Alfhild is no one's mother, Camilla a mistake. They meet in the night and prove, despite their age difference, to be remarkably alike. Camilla has fled from her mother and Alfhild from her sofa - and both long for a father's love, to follow Silver Star, the white horse at the gate to the kingdom of dreams. Perhaps they should open a night cafe together?
In the characteristic manner of Kristina Lugn - melancholic, poetic, with harsh humor - existential loneliness becomes a little less lonely. In the production we meet the actresses Beata Hedman and Marie Delleskog under the direction of Mattias Nordkvist.
Mattias Nordkvist is a director and actor. He has previously directed productions such as The Stone, Playing with Fire, The Stranger, and A Quite Special Day at Göteborg Stadsteater, as well as The Night is the Mother of Day at Byteatern in Kalmar.
