A Very Small Human
Göteborgs Stadsteater, Gothenburg
By Lisa Aschan
A child is born. A relationship takes shape. In Lisa Aschan's playwright and directorial debut for the stage, we enter the very first moments in the life of a very small human - and here the child itself finds a voice.
Through the child's hyperaware gaze, a world opens where every feeling is total and every separation is life-defining. In the meeting between child and mother lives love and chaos, closeness and resistance - a body that needs, and a body that must suffice. Here are jealousy, vulnerability, and a longing for closeness that cannot always be fulfilled.
Post-show discussion! Stay in the salon on Thursday, October 8 for a discussion with the ensemble. The conversation begins ten minutes after the performance ends and lasts 30-40 minutes.
