Shul! The Synagogue in Gamla Stan: Summer Tours

This tour takes us back to the old synagogue that once stood at Själagårdsgatan 19, and to the life that unfolded there between 1795 and 1870. We explore what a shul was, what activities filled the space, and how it looked - while highlighting some of the people who shaped the congregation.

The story also traces how the congregation grew beyond its synagogue and how the building found new purpose until the museum opened nearly 150 years later.

Tours are held in Swedish on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 12:00.
