Wrapping of Time

Judiska museet presents five works by textile artist Alma Winkler. The sculptures consist of everyday objects connected to the artist's personal memories. The objects are wrapped in hand-dyed fabric strips using shibori technique. By layering and wrapping them repeatedly, almost like mummification, the artist preserves memories tied to each object while exploring the fleeting nature of memory itself. The works prompt reflection on the central role that collective memory holds in Jewish tradition and history.
