Jävla idioter - A Play About Fathers
Huddinge kulturhus hos Folkes, Huddinge
Since childhood, Erik Myrstrand has tried to save his father - and his father tried to save him. His father was a sailor, but also, as he himself put it, a businessman: a life with alcohol, drugs, torpedoes, and ATM robberies. The play revolves around the day Erik finds his father dead in the apartment. Who killed him? And who are you when that person is no longer there?
Jävla idioter is a one-man show written and performed by Erik Myrstrand, created during the period when he was expecting his first child. The play explores reconciliation, guilt, forgiveness, and grief - about settling accounts with inner turmoil, about alcohol problems, processing trauma, and the relationship between child and parent.
