The Awakening Performance Avväxten

Väckelseföreställningen Avväxten is based on poet David Väyrynen's forthcoming poetry collection of the same name - a single long sermon delivered at the meeting that concluded the rural community Storberget/Isovaara/Stuorváris' jubilee week. The speech is intended as support for all who encounter doubt or stagnation, and carries the community's message: if the earth is to bear humanity, humanity must begin to place far less weight on its shoulders.

Väckelseföreställningen is an attempt to reconstruct that meeting. For the jubilee celebration, members from similar associations have been invited - those who sympathize with the idea of always choosing the earth's wellbeing before humanity's.
