Soppteater - Före Elvis - Caroline Wennergren

The performance "Före Elvis" explores how Elvis Presley's songs came to be - and which artists he borrowed them from. Elvis didn't write his own songs; instead, he drew heavily from the Black musical tradition. The audience will hear how these songs sounded in their original form and learn about the Black artists who "lost" them before Elvis made them famous.

Between the songs, stories about these artists are told. Caroline Wennergren brings two ventriloquist dummies on stage and sings together with them.
