Daniel Boyacioglu, Mathias Landæus and Bohuslän Big Band — Stadshallen (N), Lund
Description was written before the event

Spoken word and poetry meet jazz and the power of a big band in the concert "Den här tiden". Daniel Boyacioglu, Mathias Landæus and Bohuslän Big Band perform music based on the albums Bön för världen and Älska oss nu - in entirely new arrangements for big band.

Boyacioglu's poetic texts explore questions of identity, belonging, love and power, where the personal and political intertwine. Landæus' improvisations and Bohuslän Big Band's sonic world give the words both fragility and weight.

Daniel Boyacioglu is credited with laying the foundation for spoken word poetry that has become influential in contemporary Swedish poetry. In addition to poetry collections, stage performances and an opera at the Royal Opera House in Stockholm, he has participated in several musical collaborations, most recently as frontman of the pop band Daniel4ever.

Jazz pianist and composer Mathias Landæus has released around twenty albums since his debut in 1996. Boyacioglu and Landæus first met on the Faschings stage in the early 2000s and have since built both friendship and artistic collaboration.

Bohuslän Big Band is one of Sweden's most acclaimed big bands, nominated for the American Grammy Awards 2026 and called "A World Class Jazz Orchestra" by Quincy Jones. The band has collaborated with names such as Vince Mendoza, Christian McBride, Danilo Pérez, Maria Schneider, Jill Johnson and Tommy Körberg. Bohuslän Big Band is part of Vara Konserthus and has an artistic mission from the Västra Götaland region.
