Yaw Atta-Owusu, performing as Ata Kak, spent decades in obscurity after his 1994 cassette Obaa Sima sold almost nothing in Ghana - until a chance find at a roadside stall set off a chain of events that turned him into a cult figure on three continents. His high-energy live shows mix Twi rap, synth-driven dance rhythms and highlife roots, and his long-awaited second album Batakari arrived in 2025.
