Thu, 20 Aug 2026 · 18:00
A guided walking tour from Brunnsparken through the city's historic quarters to Stora Nygatan 17 ½ - the address where August Abrahamson lived during his years in Gothenburg. Here his career took shape, from a young merchant to one of his era's most significant cultural figures. Only at age 50 did he leave the city, purchase Nääs, and lay the foundation for what would become a world-renowned centre for crafts and education.
The guide is Gunilla Hallset, antiquarian at Nääs Castle. The tour is in Swedish and takes approximately 1.5 hours.
Meeting point: at the Johanna fountain, Brunnsparken, Gothenburg.
