Made of Rice - My Life as an Adoptee

Made of Rice is a humorous and touching performance written by and starring Martin Johansson, previously staged in Malmö and Göteborg and surrounding areas.

The show explores what it is like to grow up as an adopted person of Asian descent in Sweden - from searching for identity to becoming a full-fledged Swede. The narrative weaves together humor, self-irony, and musical elements, moving between joy, pain, sorrow, and laughter. On stage: Martin Johansson and musician Jörgen Sundström.

Martin is an established comedian who performs at clubs such as Norra Brunn and runs several stand-up clubs. In autumn 2023, he debuted his solo show at Sweden's largest comedy festival in Lund, and since then the performance has been staged at venues across the country.
