Alice and Räkan are 15-year-old best friends, inseparable. But Alice has secretly begun dreaming of something else, something bigger - she looks to influencers and tries to control her appearance. Räkan seems driven by something darker.

Suddenly a new girl arrives in class. She is absolutely perfect, like she descended straight from heaven, an Angel Baby - and Alice simply MUST befriend her. This is her chance to become someone new! But instead, Räkan and Angel Baby disappear into the Friday night together. Now Alice stands alone and completely lost. Her body tightens, her favourite influencers stop showing the way. Adrenaline pumps. Alice has had enough!

Glow Up is a fast-paced monologue about friendship and envy, about makeup tips and fights, angel dreams and loneliness, about perfect influencers and real, broken lives.

The play is written by Sandra Beijer, who since 2005 has run one of Sweden's largest blogs and has published both young adult books and an album under the name Tjejdikter - this is her debut as a playwright. Direction: Carl Johan Karlson, artistic director of Unga Dramaten, who previously directed Arv at Lilla scenen and Frankas monster. From the new premiere in August 2026, the role is played by Anna Lundström instead of Klara Enervik.
