The Umbilical Brothers - The Distraction

Australian comedy duo The Umbilical Brothers come to Sweden this autumn with their new show The Distraction - a performance that unfolds simultaneously on stage and on screen.

The Umbilicalas combine live performance with cinematic experience in a way they have never done before. The show encourages you, as the title suggests, to reflect on your screen dependency.

The Umbilical Brothers are an international comedy phenomenon whose blend of physical comedy and mind-bending humor has taken them to 40 countries - from stadium shows with Robin Williams to tours with N*Sync. They have performed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, after James Brown at Woodstock '99, and before the British Queen. Entertainment Weekly named them two of its 100 Most Creative People in Entertainment. Their awards include a Helpmann Award for Comedy Performance of the Year, Edinburgh Critic's Choice Award, and a couple of BAFTAs. They also created the children's program The Upside Down Show with Sesame Workshop, which earned them an Emmy and a Logie. On Broadway, their show received rave reviews in the New York Times and a nomination for the New York Drama Desk Award.
