Young gangster Sonny is sent to Rio to retrieve gold and the Auditor's head. Once, the Auditor was a father figure to Sonny, and he cannot even in his wildest fantasies imagine what awaits him there.

The Auditor in Rio is a humorous play that uses noir film aesthetics to explore contemporary masculinity and its limitations.
