Aunties on the Run

Selma searches for her late husband. Elsa longs for her new boyfriend. Despite their differences, they form an unexpected alliance and escape for a day from the nursing home - into an adventure neither of them could have imagined, through a landscape where fairy tales come alive and imagination takes over when reality falls short.

Aunties on the Run is a humorous and imaginative production where classic tales by H. C. Andersen, Elsa Beskow and Selma Lagerlöf are woven into the story. On stage are Mette Marqvardsen and Debbie Z Rennie, known from earlier productions by Riksteatern Crea, directed by Lars Otterstedt and Mindy Drapsa. Script and set design: Mette Marqvardsen & Debbie Z. Rennie. Make-up and costumes: Anna Olofson & Lars Otterstedt. Voice performer: Kristina Snow.

The performance is in Swedish sign language and interpreted into spoken Swedish. For children and adults from age 6. Running time: 1 hour.
