Two Small White Balls of Celluloid with Blue Stripes

The production is based on Franz Kafka's story about Blumfeld - a man who has come home and begun speaking aloud to himself, with no one to talk to, no one listening, no one witnessing his life in this room. The piece was previously dramatized by Allan Edwall under the title "Better Without a Dog", one of the most frequently performed Kafka adaptations on the Swedish stage. This version has been carefully assembled by Kafka scholar Hans Blomqvist, who also directs. Erik Åkerlind plays Blumfeld - the same artist who participated when Blomqvist and Blomqvist took on Kafka's world in "The Nest" in 2012.
