InTension

In InTension, we encounter Rebecca Livaniou in a dance solo that moves in multiple directions simultaneously, without revealing its logic in advance. Inspired by hip-hop's battle scene - where something is at stake in every moment - she creates a physical monologue where each movement carries its own energy. Just beneath the surface lies an inner movement, where contradictions and subtle shifts make themselves felt, and moods gradually shift toward a more ambiguous state. It is not about winning over someone else, but about overcoming one's doubts and claiming space - before others and before oneself.

InTension is Rebecca's first solo stage production, created in close collaboration with music producer Kevin Wedin/12Twelve, costume designer Amanda Wisselgren, and lighting designer Thabiso Kubheka Persson. Rebecca Livaniou has previously danced in works by Cullberg and choreographer Lisa Janbell.
