InTension

InTension presents Rebecca Livaniou in a solo dance that moves in multiple directions simultaneously, without revealing its logic in advance. Inspired by hip-hop's battle scene - where something is at stake in every moment - she constructs a physical monologue where each movement carries its own energy and charge. Just beneath the surface lies an inner movement, where contradictions and subtle shifts make themselves felt, and moods gradually shift toward a more ambiguous state. It is not about winning over someone else, but about overcoming one's doubts and claiming space - in front of others and in front of oneself.

InTension is Rebecca's first staged solo production, created in close collaboration with music producer Kevin Wedin/12Twelve, costume designer Amanda Wisselgren, and lighting designer Thabiso Kubheka Persson. Rebecca Livaniou has previously danced in works by Cullberg and choreographer Lisa Janbell.

The performance is a collaboration between Riksteatern and Rebecca Livaniou, with support from Konstnärsnämnden. Performance duration: 45 minutes.
