InTension

In InTension we encounter Rebecca Livaniou in a dance solo that moves in multiple directions simultaneously, without revealing its logic in advance. Inspired by hip-hop battle culture - where something is at stake in every moment - she performs a physical monologue where each movement carries its own energy. Just beneath the surface lies an inner movement, where contradictions and subtle shifts make themselves felt, and moods gradually shift toward a more ambiguous state. It is not about winning against someone else, but about overcoming your own doubts and claiming your space - in front of others and yourself.

InTension is Rebecca Livaniou's first solo stage production, created in close collaboration with music producer Kevin Wedin/12Twelve, costume designer Amanda Wisselgren, and lighting designer Thabiso Kubheka Persson. Rebecca Livaniou has previously danced in works by Cullberg and choreographer Lisa Janbell.

The performance is a collaboration between Riksteatern and Rebecca Livaniou, with support from Konstnärsnämnden. Duration: 45 min.
