InTension

InTension is Rebecca Livaniou's first solo stage production - a dance solo that moves in multiple directions simultaneously, without revealing its logic in advance. Inspired by hip-hop's battle scene, where something is at stake in every moment, she constructs a physical monologue in which each movement carries its own energy. Just beneath the surface lies an inner movement, where contradictions and subtle shifts make themselves felt - moods gradually shift and open into an ambiguous state. It is not about winning over someone else, but about overcoming one's own doubts and claiming space - in front of others and oneself.

Rebecca Livaniou has previously danced in works by Cullberg and choreographer Lisa Janbell. InTension was created in close collaboration with music producer Kevin Wedin/12Twelve, costume designer Amanda Wisselgren, and lighting designer Thabiso Kubheka Persson.
