Galten

Galten is a free interpretation of Shakespeare's Richard III where the film The Joker meets the high school thriller genre - in a bathroom. A playful, absurd and physical performance about a monster: someone without guilt, empathy or remorse. Is there always a choice, and what help is available when you're really in deep trouble?

Edward is a loser. Bullied, humiliated, diminished and worst of all. One day he makes contact with the mysterious user Richard in an online chat group - Richard explains that Edward isn't the weird one, everyone else is. The only way to feel better is to make them feel worse. Together, Edward and Richard embark on a revenge odyssey lined with lies, blackmail and intricate schemes, and Edward soon discovers he's good at something: creating chaos. But who is this Richard really, and what is he capable of?
