Awakening

Uppvaknandet is a monologue based on Josefine Franker's life story, exploring the mechanisms behind controlled thinking. Such mechanisms are not confined to religious cults - they can emerge in any type of group: criminal gangs, abusive relationships, unhealthy workplaces, yoga groups, and beyond. At its core, the piece examines freedom of speech, the right to say and think what you want, and the difficulty of breaking free from others' control to rediscover yourself.
