A Tribute to Björn Afzelius - 80 Years
Lorensbergsteatern, Gothenburg
695 kr · ≈ $72
In spring 2027, Björn Afzelius would have turned 80. The occasion is marked by a tour bringing together musicians who were close to Björn and his music to celebrate one of Sweden's most beloved artists.
The evening features Björn's greatest songs alongside personal stories and memories rarely or never before shared publicly. On stage are conductor Bernt Andersson, Göran "Guran" Blomgren, Stefan Sundberg, and Mikael Krönlein - with "Guran" and Bernt having toured with Björn themselves, while Bernt, Stefan, and Michael performed in the Varitéorkestern for over 1,200 shows with Carl-Einar Häckner.
- Playing Björn's songs again feels like opening a door to something that still lives. His music hasn't grown old, it's only become even more important.
Göran "Guran" Blomgren
- Björn had a rare gift for reaching straight into people's hearts. Getting to honour him alongside musicians who were actually there, and with an audience that still carries these songs with them, feels both grand and deeply personal.
