An Unexpected Visit in the 1700s

Two colourful figures arrive at Gothenburg City Museum in a site-specific performance for children. They move playfully through the museum's surroundings, accompanied by a philosophical narrator's voice and sounds from nature, animals and machines - familiar or new to the children. Through humour, form and sound, the doors to the unexpected open.

An Unexpected Visit is a poetic and energetic installation in motion that awakens curiosity about how we encounter the world around us. After the performance, anyone who wishes can take part in a 30-minute workshop with forms, dance and physical theatre exercises.

FiaskoKompaniet is a Swedish-Norwegian performance group led by Maria Strand Renberg and Livia Hiselius. They work with experimental puppet theatre and soundscapes, exploring political and existential questions through punk, humour and poetry.
